I'm gonna guess Knies is in for Jarnkrok but I wouldn't be surprised to see Gus in as a 7th D.

You just know we’d get fined for that. Something something unsportsmanlike. While some teams quite obviously don’t have an NHL roster this year.

I'm a little confused by this.

If we didn't sign Knies, wouldn't we still be short a forward then? He's our 11th F cuz Lafferty was hurt.

We get fucked by the league any time they have the 'discretion' to do so. Nothing new.

Once I waded past the million twitter posts telling me that you can play with 11F/7D (thanks guys), the explanation that finally checked out was that the Roster Emergency Exception for a player not to be counted against the cap is only when you're below 18 skaters and is different from regular emergency recall when you're below any of 12F, 6D, 2G.
