Carolina just had a 4 game homestand that they lost.. Canes look to create some music as they enter St. Louis and blow through the Arch.

anyway Unlike @andyt I'm not going to write a whole lot. Just time to get back on track and Win.

The Canes kick off a 3 games in 4 days road trip in St. Louis.

Another lost opportunity on Thursday, outshooting the Stars more than 3 to 1, dominating the game, beaten by a journeyman goalie. The lead over the Pens is still 3 points with 2 games in hand.

The Blues are struggling, 3-4-3 in their last 10, which has dropped them to 3rd in the Central, 1 point behind the Wild and only 1 point ahead of Nashville, albeit with 2 games in hand. They lost to the Flyers, 5-2 on Thursday; they also gave up 5 to Columbus last Saturday. David Perron has been on fire this month, with goals in 7 of the last 8 games and 16 points in his last 10. He and Jordan Kyrou have 22 goals, 1 more than Tarasenko. The Blues have 8 skaters with at least 12 goals. Kyrou has 39 assists. Jordan Binnington started in goal on Thursday for the first time in 11 days and gave up 4 goals on 26 shots. He’s at 3.14/.901 in 30 games. Ville Husso has played 27 games and has outperformed Binnington, at 2.33/.925. We could see him tonight. The Blues are 5th in goals per game at 3.52 and 10th in goals against. Their PP is 3rd at 26.4% and they’re 7th on the PK.

Bally Sports South for TV.

A lot of the teams who went into March riding pretty high are struggling, including the Canes. St Louis has let the Wild blow past them into 2nd in the Central and are feeling the as much heat as a mediocre Preds team can manage to generate, while Carolina is grubbing out just enough points to keep the Pens and Rangers at bay in the Metro. Personally, I feel like the grind is getting to a lot of teams at this stage. It's been a weird year and from the ASG break through the end of the season is a freaking meat grinder for everybody.

The thing with the Blues is to get them moving, not unlike Dallas. And since the Canes never really managed to get to their pace against the Stars, this should be kind of an "OK, let's try that again" sort of moment. Pivot and burn, boys. Get those legs moving.

Raanta is getting the start tonight, per Walt Ruff. Otherwise, the lineup will be the same as Thursday against Dallas.

Not sure what Lorentz has done to be a healthy scratch again.

It’s a numbers thing, IMO. It’s either him or Stepan. And it will be more difficult when Martinook comes back.
Yeah, I get that...I just really like Steven's game and would have him in there over Stepan.

Maybe it's Stepan's turn to score? It wouldn't hurt. God knows somebody needs to lead the way. Get a lead and hold it guys. I bet they remember how to do it, now's the time to prove it.

Officiating has been putrid this year.

And I still don't get the lack of respect Nino gets here. Everyone seems quick to make him the odd man out, say they wouldn't sign him, etc. Have they not watched any games the last 2 seasons?

I think one of Nino and Tro is out and I expect it's Tro... $$$$'s.. Unless they take major Hometown discounts.
