Leafs win 3-2 in OT. Cory Cros- err Luke Schenn with the OT winner
I struggle to be cocky enough to believe he cannot flip a switch and suddenly isn't a very good d, but even if you're right, he's replacing a player who isn't an nhler. That's the bigger deal. The Leafs have like 8 d who can fill in the top 4; they lose a top 4 guy or 2 and they're probably still fine. Tampa does not have that luxury. They barely even have 5 NHL d when everyone is healthy. The net gain from Hedman vs Fleury or any one of their plugs is enormous.I mean he's been a defensive liability all year so dunno how much he'll move the needle. I'm guessing they sit Fleury for him?
yeah this is fair. also, if Hedman is playing on one leg, that may limit his effectiveness. he does have a history of stepping up in the playoffs though.I struggle to be cocky enough to believe he cannot flip a switch and suddenly isn't a very good d, but even if you're right, he's replacing a player who isn't an nhler. But yes, that's not enough to make up for whatever happened last game. They didn't get embarrassed because Hedman was out.
