I would have thought that. Now I equate that to thinking Gretzky is too small to stand up to NHL pounding....

the question has to be asked though, can you have two small dmen? Lane works because of his superior hockey intelligence but there are few dmen in the NHL as small as he and Hughes who are successful and no team has two of them

I think, had Lane already shown he's capable in the NHL, the drafting of Cole would have been much different.
