Jordan Is Back

Peters says Hainsey is well enough to play tonight, so Jordan's recall will not likely result in him being in the line-up.

Ugliness in Minnesota with our defense (Jordan in the line up) or ugliness in Raleigh against Anaheim with defense (Bellemore in the line up). When Sekara leaves (soon please), we'll be a giant black hole...

Which is fine ... in the grand scheme of landing in the top 3 on draft day.

And seriously. Will it be that much more difficult to watch? We already feature an incompetent defense pairing for roughly 40 minutes a game.

That's my point-- this defense is a nightmare already. When our best d-men have bad night, there's not enough talent to help recover. Thus, the sooner Sekara leaves (hate it, but the reality is the reality) the better for the franchise.

And ... I think you could get a halfway decent showing out of a Hainsey/Faulk pairing at the top of the batting order. Everything else would be a train wreck, but that's really no different than the average Thursday around here.

Purely about saving money by limiting healthy scratches and taking advantage of guys on 2 way deals. I'm somewhat surprised the Canes haven't tried to squeeze their forward roster down to at least 13 by sending Terry down to the minors at this point.

All I can think is that they're afraid of losing him on waivers. This close to the deadline, he'd be a cheap option for a team to play for a few games before March 2. He's an RFA after the season and maybe they already plan on giving him a QO and don't want to lose him for nothing.

Per Chip....apparently Charlotte is short a Dman for their game tonight and that was a factor in sending Jordan back down. Peters said he would be recalled.
