Actually, there are five. Confusingly, TSN1, TSN3, TS4 and TS5 carry most of the same programming but can be regionalized to show a game or other programming just to a specific part of Canada (i.e., a Canucks game just in British Columbia). TSN2 is purely national and serves as TSN's secondary channel across the whole country.
 
I figured it must be like my PAC 12 channels, all 40 other them. Most have the same Volleyball game or competitive dancing on at least 35 of them.

Then there's the FoxSports South that keeps threatening to show the Reds vs Cardinals. But they never do. It's at the very end of the Sling channel lineup. I'm not really sure what's happening there.

So I guess they are expecting the NJ Schutzstaffel/OTT to finish ahead of the CGY/Peg game so we can watch the final minute or so.

I don't know the specifics of these terms, but I believe they refer to blackout restrictions. The NHL uses the term "Outer" to describe the distant portion of each team's market, beyond its immediate "sphere of influence," but I think this only refers to Canadian markets. Can't be more help than that...
 
Just FYI...the 2017/18 pricing for NHL Center Ice is $153.96 for the season...the nice bonus this year is that NHL.LIVE the online version/subscription is included with the NHL Center Ice TV package at no extra charge. I know the Canes only crowd gets most games locally, but for the folks that love to follow other teams and games from around the league, $153 for the full season is still a pretty good price. Extra bonus is that with the MLB online media company now overseeing the NHL online platform the coverage and features are excellent.

Which means you'll be stuck with the Caps announcers who are so bad, they make Jack Edwards look like a solid pro. So spare your ears the pain and come to the game instead.
