Montreal is a hot mess

I'm not doing the whole league, but I'll take the Leafs to win the division. Tampa's goaltending has a legitimate shot at being hot trash. 23 yr old starter and Budaj is risky stuff.

Their blueline isn't great either. Hedman-Stralman is a pretty studly 1-2, but after that is some mix of Coburn, Dotchin, Koekkoek, Girardi, Sustr, Sergachev...which is a really not good 3-7 imo. That's a lot of 3rd pairing/#7 defenders who will be trying to masquerade as a minute eating guys. Hedman and Stralman can only cover up for so much.

As for the rest:

Scoring Title: McDavid and not close
First coach to get it: I don't see an obvious mid season axe. There was a lot of coach movement the last 18 months but because the Avs are a gong show, Bednar.
Matthews just misses 50 goals, hits 85 points.
ROY - Clayton Keller
Vezina - Holtby
Biggest improvement: Dallas
Biggest drop: Montreal

I'm still torn about going bold with Montreal either winning the division, or having us miss the playoffs. Seems like most people have us missing, so I'm going to say we make it, although are a hare below Tampa for the division lead.

Toronto gets in on one of the wildcard spots and only gets that in the last week of the season. I guess that sets the Atlantic as Tampa/Montreal/Buffalo/Toronto. Not really sure on the metro - haven't followed them as much.

Leafs win Presidents Trophy.

Western Final Oilers vs. Hawks with Oilers winning.

Eastern Final Leafs vs. Penguins with Leafs winning.

Oilers vs. Leafs Stanley Cup Final with Leafs winning in 4!

Lmao Go Leafs Go!
