OT: Fanboy fight: XBox V Playstation

It really pissed me off that there's classic was always sold out and then discontinued. ****ing stupid. I actually find the nes classic games better than the list for the snes. My nes and snes player St the cottage still has my fave games that i have in cartridges still. Street fighter, donkey Kong country and Royal rumble.

at $80 a unit, no they're not. Try upping the price another $400 then they'll compete with play station and xbox.

I'm a sony fanboy, but you don't hear me talking about every awesome ps4 game. I'm not talking about how awesome the ps4 is, and how it's killing it in console sales. You don't see me talking about the amazing games coming out this year for PS4.

Meanwhile, you've managed to turn this thread into the Nintendo/switch/zelda zone.

Pretty funny to bring up sales numbers for the month of May when the Switch has been SOLD OUT since march. It'll be interesting to see the figures when the next batch of Switch are shipped.

I have a PS4 but lets be real here... Nintendo has done exceptionally well since Pokemon GO and the Switch release. The demand for the switch console at the moment is ridiculously high. I will be buying one when Mario comes out. I will also be one of the many people buying SNES Classic console. I can afford it, i enjoy it, and i don't give a shit what some Nintendo hater says on a hockey forum.

Nintendo is making cake this holiday season. Switch + Mario + SNES = big $$$$

Maybe people here don't care about repackaged 25-30 yr old technology? How many times can they repackage retro before Sony comes out with a new generation console? Maybe kinda sorta edging out Sony when Sony is still making bank on a 4 year old console isn't exactly impressive?

Nintendo made little money off of Pokemon GO.

The Japanese yen has gained 14% against the US dollar this year, dampening the game’s success on Nintendo’s yen-denominated accounts. It reported a ¥4.9 billion forex loss for the quarter (pdf), taking its currency losses for the year to ¥39.9 billion. This resulted in an operating loss of ¥812 million for the quarter.

Sold out or not, the ps4 has been out on the market for 4 years now and is still finding ways to outsell the brand new console on the block.

But of course, it will win Christmas.

Here's a number for everyone. 60 million>3.7 million.

Maybe when Nintendo can catch up to that I will start to buy the hype. Maybe if they weren't slower than Microsoft and Sony and actually developed a top tier gaming console they would be already there.

I love how repackaging 30 year old tech is somehow innovative. Someone should tell Honda or Ford or blackberry to try that. Start selling 1997 civics for nostalgic value and make bank. Start winning the auto sales.

And I agree with that.

Nintendo has a nice product out for it's fans, and if people love the switch, power to them.

But once people start saying Nintendo is winning at stuff, over Sony or MS, the gloves are coming off.

Best graphics doesn't equal best gaming. Sure, I'll buy that. Zelda wins GOTY. Sure, I can see that.

But when people start saying that the worst graphics and lowest power and that convoluted headset equals the best gaming, that's taking things too far.

When people can put the switch in the same league as the PS4 and Xbox the fanboy goggles have removed all objectivity. Looking back the last 10 pages or so, that's what's been happening.
 
When did gaming become all about hardware and no longer about games?

I am not as big into gaming as I used to be, but why wouldn't a gamer want to play the GOTY? I stole my bros PS3 just to play Last of Us.

Doesn't make sense to pick sides for no reason and miss out on great games. To me that is the whole point of gaming.
