OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Pillar has got to start taking some pitches again. When he was really rolling he was being selective and even taking some walks. He is back into his swing happy mode. He is really pressing.

Not sure you should move Travis the way he's been going.

You shouldn't be batting someone who's hitting like Travis 8th. Dude is hitting .360 with a 1.010 OPS in May.

Travis
JD
JB
Morales
Smoak
Pillar
Tulo
Martin
Carrera

is the correct choice of lineup at the moment.

Can we really call 175 PA's a "breakout"?

Probably not enough of a sample size, but he's making hard contact as he always has, but making contact at a much higher rate than last year. Maybe it's because he's using the middle of the field more, so he's not so pull happy? Maybe it's because he's hitting 94% of the pitches he swings at in the zone, instead of 82% last year. I mean the dude's K rate is down 14% from last year, so he's doing something right. The numbers are really encouraging, and there's no BABIP magic going on. This might be legit. Or not. Baseball is fun.

Leave Travis alone right now. I would try Zeke. He had a brilliant night and looked refreshed after a couple of days off.

Zeke is literally the worst hitter by a country mile in the lineup. He was 3/42 prior to today and while refreshed, he is still trash

The spot should go to Travis if Pillar continues to struggle.

Also, the notion of keeping a hitter 8th cause he's on fire and a different spot in the order could cool him, is stupid.

Zeke has a 100 wRC+

Not sure why Twitter is so concerned about which players get sent down for the returning guys. It's pretty obvious what happens next, no?

Boslinger for Liriano
Coghlan for Pearce
Sanchez for Barnes (Biagini to pen)
