OT: Movies/TV Shows

yeah I saw that trailer just from this picture... I think the idea is great, but I think it will turn into another panic room/the strangers/ a few other thousand movies.

I like the concept of one night of the week all crime is allowed to get it out of your system.

I kind of though it would be kind of like "the lottery" short story

Pretty damn stoked about the new Nicolas Winding Refn flick....

Definitely gotta see this.

Gosling has somehow become maybe the coolest actor in Hollywood while at that same time making all the women giddy.

I stopped going to see anything gore in the theater because I can't stop laughing through most of them. People look at me real worried afterwards. Starship Troopers we sat in the front row and laughed non-stop for 2 hrs (doobie induced to an extent) and only realized no one else saw the humour until the lights went up.

Starship Troopers is nothing like Evil Dead. That pencil in the ankle scene still lives with me. Didn't help I was shrooming at the time, I won't be doing that for the remake lol...those days are gone.

My most hair raising shrooming movie experience was the first Nightmare on Elm Street. We had no idea what we were in for.

I'm not into LOTR, would never dream of reading the GoT books......and I think it's one of the best shows on TV. Season one in particular was phenomenal.

Watched Nicolas Winding Refn's "Valhalla Rising" last night (great movie, but one I suspect many would either love or hate)...and then came to find out today that it's star, Mads Mikkelsen is playing Dr.Lecter in NBC's new incarnation of "Hannibal".

Don't know the last time I was actually excited about a network television drama......but Mads is a f*cking phenomenal actor who should do some pretty spectacular things with that role, if the writing is up to snuff. Definitely going to have to check it out.

Valhalla Rising is so fantastic. Loved it.

I'm sick of serial killer/crime shows, but him as Lecter is enough to get me to watch.

It's brilliant, guy is hands down one of the best directors on the planet right now.......although as much as I enjoyed VR, the second it was over I couldn't think of a single friend I could recommend it to, because I figure the pacing of it would be too much for them. Refn's a straight genius tho, Pusher Trilogy, Bronson, VR, Drive all brilliant.....OGF looks like it's going to be another great one, and then the Logan's Run remake is due out before too long too.

Still haven't seen "Fear X" with John Turturro though.....keep meaning to but never get around to it.

Yeah, I'd heard about the show coming out on NBC for a while, but never had any interest.......until I heard Mads was Lecter, and then I immediately tracked down the 1st episode.
