OT: Movies/TV Shows

GOT was ok last night....I am lost on the Theon storyline though...wonder where they are going with it. It is not playing out like I remember from the book.

I think they decided to pussy out of that story line, which is dissappointing, since it was so awesomely gruesomely vicious.

With a show as quality as GoT, I don't even notice if a episode is "slow" because the writing and overall story arc is so good that you know everything had it's purpose. It's definitive in it's direction.

Unlike something like say 'Lost' where you knew they were stretching out an original story to make it as profitable and long lasting as possible.

yep, exactly.

Very, very, very cheesy, but entertaining. And the pompey Crassus Caesar spinoff was precisely what I thought they were gunning for there.

Man oh man, was gattacus' slave babe ever on FIRE too.

Ceasar is just a likable character no matter how hard they try to make him out to be a dick. That spin off should work especially with Pompey in the mix

I have trouble with ho historically inaccurate it is though. I mean, not even close.

Records were not always kept back then so who knows how Spartacus really died. Might have been on a cross at the gates of Rome, might have been in battle.

He was trained in Capua but whether it was by Battiatus, who knows.

I liked Pompey's white outfit, reminded me of Electro in Running Man.

Not Spartacus so much as "Caesar" and Crassus. If memory serves, Crassus was mostly in the east (I think he was killed fighting the Parthians) and I'm not sure his relationship with "Caesar" is anywhere near accurate.

I'm very intrigued at Theons storyline. You do get glimpses in the books but this looks to be quite the eye opener.

Ya...the Reek chapters tell you want happened in the past...cool to see more details and for it to happen in the present.

I just wanted to mention a GoT moment that might be a bit of a spoiler......but that last little scene with Tyrion/Bronn/Podrick was hilarious.
