The Good The Bad & The Ugly - Round 3, Game 1 - Rangers vs Habs

Emelin should have hauled Kreider down. Take the penalty instead of allowing your man to go in alone.

Notes:
- Habs effort displayed this afternoon, was an utter embarrassment - Very disappoint.
- Dunno why Therrien didn't put Vanek w DD & MaxPac to start the game?
- I would break up Markov-Emelin, put Markov w Subban, and Emelin w Gorges

- For all the King Henrik posters, what miraculous saves did he have to make to secure the win?
- Kreider: he's fast, can score, but gave up the puck 3 or 4 times in his zone, zero defensive hockey IQ & needs to be exploited going forward.

As many have posted, start next game will say a lot about this team.

I look at this way.....if I myself wasn't nervous or actually thinking about this game till about 10AM this morning and even at that wasn't overly pumped I can imagine the players were somewhat loose also.

The time of the game, the fact we're two days removed from what is likely the biggest win this organization has had since 93 I have to say I'm not overly surprised with we saw today.

The Rangers come on the road play at a time they are very comfortable with....this was their game to lose

As much as I dislike these early afternoon starts, the Rangers answered the bell and we didn't. It really was a pathetic display. And they were coming off an emotional high and tough series too.

Kreider scored 17 goals in 66 games. Leblanc will never be a 20 goal man in the NHL. I will bet you anything you want on it.

For anyone to take on this bet, let alone win it, would first require Leblanc to actually make an NHL roster, which he seems in no danger of doing any time soon. Whether Kreider is a second or third line player is immaterial. The only thing that matters is that he is (at least for now) a legitimate NHL-caliber player while Leblanc is not.

Leblanc should be on our 4trh line , when we gave him a cup of coffee up here , he wasnt that bad .
