Leafs/Habs/Sens 2014-15

Since Jan 1st.
SF60 - 6th
GF60 - 4th

Jan 1st - "The Run"
SF60 - 10th
GF60 - 3rd

I'm in no way denying Hammonds play has helped - but since Jan 1st the Sens have been a top offensive team and an average to above average defensive team. If Lehner hadn't struggled the point gap between your isolated stats wouldn't be the way it was.

See if you're singing the same tune when they miss the playoffs by a point or two...
Meh. You can't play that game. There are lots of missed opportunities over the course of 82 games.

They won't literally win every single game down the stretch. Losses will come.

The bigger games were the loss vs. Boston and Florida. Hands down.

If that makes you feel better about losing twice to the bottom-dwelling Leafs, have at it

A SO loss doesn't matter to me. The amount of points the Leafs get doesn't matter (it's actually bad for you).

We got 4 points out of 6. Call it whatever you want, the numbers speak for themselves.

What's all this chatter about the Methot OT shot looking like it went through the net?
Just the usual CSI: Sens nonsense. From one angle, it looks like the puck may have gone in, but the NHL and multiple other angles confirmed it didn't.

Before you label the Sens with anything - Lupul was going on about it on Twitter this weekend.

Except by your own admission here, they haven't played well since Hammond arrived. I mean, logically you can't make the argument that they were playing well from Jan 1 - Feb 17th based on CF%, and then claim that they've played well from Feb 18 to today, based on the club's CF%.

If you want to go down the road you just plowed, then the Sens actual run looks even more luck based now, no?

So you admit you were wrong and the Sens were playing well before Hammond and the streak.

Perfect, Thanks.

If the NHL would just release the net cam or overhead shot, then no one would talk about it...

Then you're admitting that they've played like crap since Hammond stepped in and the run is entirely unsustainable goaltending induced?

Perfect, thanks.

Mindz is right.... the Sens are where they are largely because of Hammond, as well the goaltending record is absurdly high and can't be expected to be like that over a full season.

Hammond=17-1-2 (1.86GAA, .939%) (36 points, 1.71pts/pace= 141 over 82 games)
Prior to Hammond=23-25-11 (57 points, .96pts/pace=79 points over 82 games)

Actually we hadn't even started to examine the numbers during the streak, we barely got finished proving you wrong.

The numbers Corks posted suggest that the Sens were still playing well during the streak, but got ridiculously hot due to Hammond's play.

No one (except you during your ridiculous strawman) suggested that Hammond played no role during the streak.

Thanks for playing, do try again.

During the streak the Sens are 6th in the NHL in scoring chance differential. How exactly is Hammond effecting that elite level Stat?
