Round 2: Habs-Lightning General Discussion Thread

Re: Round 1: Habs-Sens General Discussion Thread

Big Marc Methot on little Gallagher at RDS.ca

"It's really a challenge to play against him. He never gives up. He's fast, and he pushes and hits you. When he falls, he gets up and comes right back. I really respect him and his game. It forces me to always be in the game."

"He's certainly among the hardest 5 players in the league to move out of the crease. He's really strong on his skates. »

they're already rationalizing their fail. It's not them...it's us.

They is done.

??? It's a respectful compliment, that Gallagher has earned. I hate the little prick, but he's had a good series.

Ridiculous interpretation.

Re: Round 1: Habs-Sens General Discussion Thread

LOL at Sens fans complaining about officiating. When your team gets outplayed, you get penalties called on you.

The PK 5 minute, the uncalled cross-check to the head, leading to a goal and DSP mashed stick, which would have made 5 on 3 were brutal calls that went the Sens way. Two can play at this game.

The officiating has been weak on both sides this series

we've been outplayed in this series.

the officiating has been suspect, and it has favoured you guys. not the reason we're down, but it is what it is.

i actually feel the same way about the little smurf. he plays his role well and he's made himself valuable. and he acts like a real hockey player, unlike PunK.

The only thing that is suspect is the two bums between the pipes choking on 2 softball shots in OT.

Pierre LeBrun
Andrew Hammond says he doesn't know yet who is starting tomorrow in goal for Ottawa.

Tony Marinaro
@Real_ESPNLeBrun if he looks back at 5 of 7 goals he let in, he will know the answer...

Re: Round 1: Habs-Sens General Discussion Thread

Beaulieu is out for the rest of the series.

Smith will take Legwand's spot in the Sens' lineup. Moarrr truculence!

Re: Round 1: Habs-Sens General Discussion Thread

Pateryn is taking Beaulieu's spot. Gilbert is playing LD with Petry.

Re: Round 1: Habs-Sens General Discussion Thread

Well if we win game 4, Beaulieu will have some days between series. Might be ready by the time game 2 or 3 rolls around, assuming he doesn't have further concussion symptoms

Re: Round 1: Habs-Sens General Discussion Thread

Announcing out for the series now essentially means concussion. Tough break, but hopefully whoever replaces him can do well. That's why we have depth back there.

So we are all going to be sheeple are we that this was a good clean hit even tho EK left feet & direct contact to head....

Alrighty then.

Andrew MacDougall
I'm a Sens fan - it was a dirty hit.

Pierre LeBrun
Cameron says the entire team meeting today was about having better second periods.

In their defense, Legwand hasn't done anything in any of the games.

Did they say if Pateryn would be in ? I'd rather Pateryn than Gonchar...so he can get some much needed playoffs experience.

Next year, Pateryn should be our #6-7 dmen all year...once Weaver-Gonchar are gone

If I'm a betting man I would say that they'll go with pateryn

Re: Round 1: Habs-Sens General Discussion Thread

Guess the league doesn't have access to this video...

Perfectly clean hit.

No issues with the hit....but EK looked a bit slow in the 3rd and flat footed on the OT goal.

Looks like he pretty much wore himself out throwing a few hits earlier in the game.

Difference between PK and EK is stamina and strength...one has it and the other doesn't.

The difference is the EK has zero defensemen on his team.

But EK played a good half game.
