2016 Playoff Thread

I kind of want the Pens to win the next series. If only for the personal greed of Stamkos not having the possibility to come back in the Cup Finals to help them win. Might persuade him to stay. Though the argument could be made the other way around.

I just want Stamkos now. Our offseason is already looking good. Matthews. Vesey. Things are looking up folks.
 
Phil is big time clutch. No one in the media wants to touch his playoff numbers. I finally found it referenced on Sportsnet's website.
 
Nashville made it to round two and had a decent showing against a Cup contender.

Not bad. That's like winning the small-market Stanley Cup.
 
Love to see how a team that the great Todd Mclellan that didn't even get into the playoffs last year and only made a handful of changes is now in the conference finals.

When will the lustre come off the great Mclellan?
 
Does anyone remember how long ago it was that Burke (when he was running the Leafs) said that if he could start a team with any one player it would be Shea Weber? I'm pretty sure I remember him saying that.
 
Yeah he said that. Probably 5-6 years ago now. He should've picked someone younger. Weber isn't the same player anymore.
 
Weber's possession numbers are pretty ugly the last few years.

He's still a great offensive defenseman, but it doesn't look like he's anywhere close to elite defensively.
