OT: Fanboy fight: XBox V Playstation

Anyone see the new prices for PlayStation +? I don't mind mild increases, but they've jacked-up the prices way too much.
 
$10 is pretty meh.

I like the service PS+ offers. Consider most good online games for PC demand you pay a subscription to play or are bullshit due to hacks/cheats.

$69.99 CAD for the year is still good value considering the games you get each month and the server being pretty reliable/hack-free.

thought it was 50 before?

I never play those free games
but I have spent 70 on worse things
 
I have pretty much given up on non golf sports game
madden, mlb the show, nhl, nba, etc

I just never play them
 
I usually just buy one iteration of each sports franchise per generation of system....

I still play MLB The Show 2014, or the original UFC game anytime I need for fix.

If a franchise makes a substantive jump in their game quality I'll consider re-purchasing....but that's pretty rare these days, and at best happens once every 4+ years.
 
I have become addicted to Madden Mobile. May need to delete app from iPad soon.
 
season 2 has started for PC and xbone

psn was down yesterday so no season 2 (or patch) for PS4

I don't mind violence in video games, but even watching Mortal Kombat X was a bit too far for me. This is a smidge below that in gruesome, but it has a more realistic touch to it than MKX and that makes it a bit creepier

Tried it. Not a fan. I'm on PC. Rumple will tell you I played professionally (he's not wrong), but the franchise is pretty much dead in the water now. It's too casual.

I haven't played the NHL series for a few years. What are your primary criticisms of the new game? For an outsider's benefit.
