OT: American Politics

We clearly have different definitions of successful war.

I think that the US will ultimately win the war, but will also suffer heavy, heavy losses in the process. I wouldn't call that a success, you would.

Big picture mate.

What would a successful outcome of a war with China look like to you? Or any nation war for that matter?

Something like the Falkland is what I expect and I would call that a unqualified success. China stepping back, countries around the region seeing that China can run wild without consequences or pushback, and a independent Taiwan.

First Iraq war is a success to me as well.

In a perfect world we wouldn't need police, soldiers, hell, we wouldn't need fire fighters.

It's not a perfect world.

Yes, but no one is surprised by it. We all strongly suspected this before the election, at least those of us paying attention did.

And like I said, the biggest beneficiary of a China-U.S. war? Russia.

Funny how Trump is taking a hardline with China but no one thats so soft, it might as well be no line at all with Russia.

If Europe(and canada) actually spent the money they promised to pay for their own defense they wouldn't need the assistance of the USA.

Funny that.

One reason I'm sure trump is so pro Taiwan is that they actually care about their own defense. 2.4 percent of GDP, and they aren't even a country.

Could you post the report? I legit just want to see the it/the highlights.

Was it much different than other countries, like the Sauds, funding Clinton's election?

Yes, CIA report concluded russia actively interfered with election to get trump elected. The GOP knew about and mcconnell buried it. (mcconnell's wife got a cushy cabinet appt right after btw).

Trump team now trying to discredit the entire CIA.

It's conjecture. Look up the meaning. They're concluding without definitive proof of motive. Furthermore, I can guarantee you the anonymous sources are Democrats. There is no definitive proof, if there was there would be far more fallout, challenges and quite probably a reelection.

Conjecture.

It's the "to get Trump elected" that's absolutely pure conjecture and truthfully, garbage spewed by Democrats that can't take blame for their own shortcomings.

If all this crap was said of Obama they'd all be crying racism... because they're stupid.
