Miss you Bowen. RIP.
Try and close the gap on the Bruins now.Well, we're back into a playoff spot for the moment---the 2nd wild card spot. If Oil change can do us a solid and defeat the Islanders in regulation, we'll hang on to it for the night. We also pick up a big two points on Florida and Buffalo as well, after they started creeping close to the pack.
What happened to Joe??
Really miss him ... not sure why they don't keep him cause up to this day, I'd still rather listen to Bowen than any other colour commentator do the games.Banished to radio

But while it was great to get the W, it wasn't a great game at all. We came out flying, dominated the 1st, and then the boys decided to mentally hit the shower and it was the same ugly stuff.
It seems like this team can't sit back and play safe ... every time they do, all their defensive woes show up big time. When we're flying out there, using our speed and attacking, our speed hides our defensive problems.
Hope the guys get some of their confidence back with a win. We clearly played like headless chicken in the 3rd once Detroit got to within 1.
I also don't get why Babs continued to put Hunlak on the ice in dying minutes. I guess he has no confidence in Gardiner and Marchenko in taht situation.
Well, I know why they didn't keep Bowen---it's because of the eternal pissing contest between Rogers and Sportsnet, and I'm sure each want to use the exposure of Leaf regional games to push their own in-house broadcasting crews.
If either one of them were actually smart though, one of them would scoop up Bowen & Ralph for themselves, and have them call all the Leaf games they carry.
The issues late were almost all caused by rielly and zaitsev. They were terrible in tbe second half of the game
