“Expects” and “will be” are not the same thing.
 
I'd feel a lot better about the trade had we got Arizona's 2nd round pick as well. Hard to believe he couldn't get Arizona to pony up something extra.

I'm wondering what happened to the MB of old that was seemingly able to squeeze every little bit of value in a trade.

I don't mind. We still have our lotto pick, we didn't get older, molson saves some money, the team isn't better, and if he can match his pitiful off season of last year, the habs are out of the playoff picture by November, max pac is traded away and with some luck MB or his replacement is sitting with two other GMs hoping for the first overall.

All of this would still be true with Arizona 2nd Rd pick.

The Lost Seasons

Great we get another year of Max and Alzner.

They need to start the season 0-10 so we can get rid of them all...MB, Julien, and anyone else who reeks of their stench.

Molson will be reluctant to eat their salaries and that of a new GM + Coach so we need to start a GOFUNDME page for Geoff Molson to pay for this.
