Prescription drugs are a more likely answer. Not as funny as being coked out on stage, but far more likely given the situation imo.

With that said, I have no clue who this guy is, so who ****ing knows. One would have to assume though that someone about to take a multi million dollar job, even if he had a problem like that, could have held himself together for a couple of hours without bolivian marching powder.

Drugs right? It has to be.

Coke bender?

Nah, just a amped up situation ....I think the amount of press and specifically the Jets doing their presser in their auditorium so you have all that press ostencibly on top of you, is the cause more than anything.

He was perfectly normal (as far as weirdo loner head coaches go....these guys are all kinda wack jobs).....in all his post presser interviews.

Made for some great memes, tho.

@101 we officially landed Gregg Williams.....which is imo, as big a move as any HC hire for us.

I dig Gase' as basically just our OC, there to mentor groom Darnold....with Williams as the HC of our D. He has improved virtually every defense he's ever taken over in defensive DVOA.

Now McCagnan just needs to go get him some pass rushers.

The other thing is Manning loves Gase. Gase said he brings him in any chance he gets. On paper this is a great situation for Darnold's development. Even if all he gets out of it is access to Peyton Manning.

Say what you want about Gase, but our OC situation over the last 3-4 years was absolutely untenable to develop an elite young QB.

Gase suggested Miami sacrficed stats for wins....which wins were these

He said they sacrificed going after stats in favor of ball security...(ie - they didn't have the talent [especially due to all the injuries you guys had, least of which being at QB] to be a high octane vertical offense team.)

If your talent is bottom of the barrel, you gotta protect the ball as much as possible, look to eat clock, and keep things close to win late.

You guys were a 3-13/4-12 type team, who unfathomably managed to go 7-9 somehow.

Heard Chris Johnston going in depth about that Manning phone call....guess it was a long detailed conversation, where Manning went over all the things Gase innovated in Denver/brought to PM that he hadn't seen before, and specifically how he tailored the offensive scheme to Manning's remaining strengths as his arm power started to fade.

CJ implied the decision had already basically been made....but that it was pretty insightful hearing directly from Manning the kind of impact Gase' had on that historic offense.

I don’t have Twitter, Instagram, I don’t read the internet, I don’t watch TV,” Gase said on ESPN Radio’s “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz” on Wednesday, via Yahoo. “All that stuff is irrelevant to me. To me it’s pollution of the brain. I really don’t care.”

Crazy eyes will be lots of fun if he starts the season 0-2.

On the Vikings front, I like the appointment of Gary Kubiak as an assistant HC and Offensive Advisor. The guy turned Matt Schaub and the Texans into a #1 offence.
