@YRahamaan
Little cousin met Uncle Dennis at the airport this morning. Asked him if Kawhi was saying. Uncle Dennis responded with “Would it really be a surprise then?” !!! #HeStay #WeTheNorth

Memphis has traded guard Mike Conley to the Utah Jazz for Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver and Jae Crowder, the 23rd pick in Thursday's Draft and a future first-round pick, league sources tell ESPN.

Remember when Kyle Lowry had no value because of his albatross of a contract? Mike Conley is a really good, but discount version of Kyle Lowry, signed to basically the same contract, with 67 million remaining over the next 2 years. Conley just got traded for a really good rotation body signed for 7.5 million (Crowder), a 1st, the corpse of Kyle Korver (7.5 million for one year, and probably some trade value to a contender at the deadline...still one of the dead nuts, great shooters in the league) and Grayson Allen (who is completely unplayable right now, but is cheap, came from a great program and might turn into a 3&D guy in the future).

No bad contracts coming back, nada. Just okay value for an okay player. Anyone who thought Lowry was untradeable needs to hang their ****ing heads.

Or flipped to a contender looking for veteran shooting for their 2nd unit and general outstanding locker room leadership.

Thats why I want him..... an absolute killer clutch shot guy. If we don't resign Green, I would have OG in the starting line up and have Korver come out and hit SHATS.

I don't. I'm pretty sure I pulled it off of R/NBA, you can maybe check the Raptors sub for posts a day or two after the clinch game, it probably got cross posted there.

Nurse also went on to reveal that Leonard delivered one of those knockout punchlines after the Raptors defeated the Bucks in Game 5 in Milwaukee, when he tried to keep his team level-headed and focused on the task at hand with an opportunity to close out the series at home in Game 6.

The 51-year-old described to his team how his D-League team had won a Game 1 in a best-of-three Finals on the road and would have the opportunity to win the championship at home, and with the city abuzz and even ring sizes being prepped, the team lost by 25.

Halfway through that story, Leonard interjected with, “In the D-League? I’m done listening to this story.”

It speaks to the chemistry the pair have developed over the course of the season that Leonard can feel so comfortable in chirping his coach like that, and bodes well for the big decision Leonard has to make soon in free agency.

“I know him a lot better. I really like the level of our relationship, the level of our communication,” Nurse said. “If we were going into that meeting tomorrow, he would certainly have a different feel for me.”

Nurse told Lowe that Kawhi is the funniest Raptor.

Something that didn't sink in earlier when considering the Conley move...

Utah might be ****ing legit this year. Gobert-Favors-Ingles-Mitchell-Conley is a really good starting 5. They're going to be pretty ridiculous defensively and Conley means they'll force less of their offence through Mitchell. They need some bench pieces, but they could be a problem in the west next year. Not a contending team, but a step below that absolutely.

53-55 wins and a legit darkhorse to make the WCF.

F5 season roundup

- Conley to Utah
- Adam Silver released a statement today regarding the Masai charges, spoke well of Masai but said that the league can't pre judge the situation in either direction, the facts have to speak for themselves. I'd feel like the statement would have been a hell of a lot more guarded if their were any damning facts to speak of.
- Middleton has done what everyone expected him to do. Waived his 13 million dollar option and is a UFA. Expected to sign a max deal to stay in Milwaukee
- Skip Bayless fell for a fake report out of Houston about CP3 making fun of Harden for having man tits.
- MKG opted in to his 13 million dollar option. Probably a good choice.
- Wizards plan on offering Beal a 3 yr, 111 million dollar extension to try to get him to stay
- Brooklyn is rumoured to be a player in the Horford sweepstakes. Dallas, Clippers, & Lakers have also been mentioned
- OKC is trying to shed salary to avoid luxury tax payments. Steven Adams, Roberson & Shroeder are all available. They're offering the 21 pick as a sweetener. Adams and the 21 pick basically for free isn't a bad move to make...not for us, but for someone.
- Apparently some teams near the top of the draft have checked in with the Celtics about Jaylen Brown's availability.
- Rumours already that Golden State is interested in Crowder and Korver. They don't intend on burning a year waiting for everyone to get healthy.
