Hey Nerds: Blockchain

Glad I kept some. Was a bit of a clusterfuck and amateur shit on my end but I made out alright in the end.

Even thought it's not recreationally legal, it must be so easy to get a prescription that I'm not sure how much of a bump full rec will provide
Florida sells about $1b worth per year at the moment, though that is growing like crazy. For reference, Illinois is about 60% the population of Florida and they're at a $1.1b run rate for medical + rec in their first year of legal recreational weed. And that is growing rapidly as the supply still isn't very close to meeting demand; the market is nowhere near mature. If Florida goes legal it'll provide a huge boost AND we're seeing Curaleaf and others have supply concerns already in Florida. They can't even meet current capacity... Trulieve is well equipped to steal market share if anything, at least until supply meets demand.

TLDR: I'm thinking Florida doubles their sales if they go rec legal. We're looking at potentially over $1b in annual sales for Trulieve JUST in Florida.

It's interesting. GTII isn't even bothering to expand or care much about Florida. They've basically conceded. They don't have the free capital to put a dent into Trulieve's market share and I suspect that they are losing money currently in their small presence there. So they're focusing on being the leaders in other states, which seems like the ticket for these companies and is the reason I've loved GTII and their strategy from day 1. Meanwhile Curaleaf seems keen on challenging Trulieve as they have major expansions planned. Will be interesting to see which company is right in the end. I'm thinking these guys shouldn't even bother but I'm just Presto.

Since I'm down to a core position in Gold, I've started trading it. Using 1955 as a fulcrum level, added around there, now at 1968.

I obviously lost a bit of profits on my SLV by selling yesterday (lost out on about 5% I believe) but I feel better holding long and strong with just profits. And it's a substantial amount of profits so today has been good.

Scary thing about today is that a 9% day could easily just be a bear flag. Volume just now starting to pick up a bit, but I'd hope for more. We're right in between the low of August 11 and high of August 10th. Smack dab in the middle. Could go either way and I'm ready to ride or die with my profits.

I think smaller position size is a good idea with precious metals because they are extremely volatile and depend on a variety of cross currents.

They're not like stonks where you can manage earning runups and letdowns

I went real heavy in the 12's and 13's because the risk-reward felt amazing and I happened to have a lot of US churning funds available, so I went nuts. But yup... I lightened up a couple times in the 20's. No sense in getting too greedy because it's fucking SLV after all. If they don't sell drugs, I'm not interested in longing.

Bear flag might be playing out for SLV. +10% and it still didn't look great. Wasn't convinced.

Yeah, I got out my trading GLD with a mini profit. Not trusting it here -- so I'd rather be out.

Green Thumb doing the CNBC shuffle. Very strong close. Curaleaf weak today but held key support. I don't think that support breaks unless the sector craters. Which could happen, but I like its odds with their earnings next week.

Thumbs up almost a buck from my earlier purchase today.

Going home with some Apple puts as a hedge.

No doubt in my mind that TRUL stock will outperform AAPL over the next years.

I still have no idea who Askarov is and I refuse to learn about a non top 2 draft pick. Sorry Habsy.

That's OK. The day will come where you will say "damn, Habsy was right". I can wait just like you're waiting on the Habs winning the cup.

GRWG was a beast today...I own the stock and (unfortunately) didn't play the post earnings run-up.

The 12.5C opened at .10 this morning and closed at 1.15. 11 bagger!!
