Canes Acquire Max Domi

Domi is better than nothing...let's wait on the return.

That at least gives the blend-a-matic lines a bit more of a variety for Rod to play with...

mixed feelings here. Anybody named Domi gives me hives but if we can get him relatively cheap for a few months then I’d at least kick the tires. I still think we will lose some bodies along the way against many of the east coast teams due to our size and I’m sorry but plugging in someone from Chicago is not the same. Marty is fragile and the poor dude likely won’t make it thru the playoffs. I don’t feel that strongly about Domi per se, I still just believe we are not built for a long run in the playoffs. Please canes, prove me wrong.

promise I didn’t see the announcement but hearing we did pick him up
 
I will be interested to hear what the Canes have done to free up enough cap room for Domi to be added. LTIR for Martinook is the simplest and least disruptive solution if he can stay there until the playoffs).
 
Hearing we're sending Aidan Hreschuk, 94th pick last draft for Domi.... I don't think that makes the salcap work yet though

I would like to see Brindy mix things up a bit with the lines now with an additional forward in the mix...why not consider taking Turbo off the Aho line and put him with KK to get KK generating some more offense...put a gritty-nose for the net guy like Domi with Aho and Svech. They need to get Necas going and they need to hand more ice time to KK with some skilled guys to try and get more offense from him.
 
I'm curious what Florida got? a 4th I'd guess based on last season.
but then we could be getting him for 25% cost.
 
Elliotte Friedman says Florida was involved too, so we’ll have to see what they got and for how much
