Mike Pence is deeply religious and Trump expected him to do what? Stand in front of his God in the end explaining it?

No way he had that fortitude to literally destroy the system. He'd be Judas and soon cooking Lucifers human meat.

I mean according to some pastors.

Yep. And it’s unfortunately a tale that’s as old as human history.

Take a look at any oppressed group in history, and there are always people among them that decide their own personal benefit is the only thing that matters and that they’d rather be their oppressor’s boot instead of the ass getting kicked.
 
It's worse than that...I have a family member who read and respected Candace Owens book...she think's she makes great sense.

Funny thing, this family member, along with her sibling, received government grants for University, large grants..., when they were very young and poorish they got free dental, and when things were bad when they were babies 20 years ago their mom got like 800 bucks a month in assistance.

Great, system works... and now she wants to say that people should pull themselves up by their bootstraps?
Fucking bonkers.

She wasn't very happy when I brought this all up.

For once, someone being a Christian turned out to be a good thing. Of course, it only worked because Pence was an actual Christian, not a pretend one like pretty much the rest of the GOP.

It's endemic among rich boomers who benefitted greatly just by being born when they were born. They came of age in an era when a college education was a golden ticket and when college tuition was affordable (or in many cases, free, at state schools) and the ranks of middle management was expanding. These people were basically born on third base and have convinced themselves over the years to believe that they actually hit a home run. People born around the time when these people were going to college? We got fucked. College got ridiculously expensive, college degrees stopped being automatic hall passes to good paying careers, and every company out there was downsizing and outsourcing in a race to the bottom. We went to work for boomers who decided not to retire but to just keep occupying space above us. And as crappy as it was for us, it's only getting worse with each generation and anyone who does get through college is carrying so much debt by the end that all they can do for the next 20 years is pay off the student loan.
