Because he doesn't play with anyone who buries a high volume of chances. Connor piles up a lot of assists on that PP with Leon, who is also a 50-60 goal scorer.

So he was +31 last year and got 45 assists. He should get another 35 assists and be +66? That would be some player

MacKinnon, Kucherov, Hughes, Miller, Petterson, even Willy all have more or close to as many assists as they have games played.

Who are the 50-60 goal scorers they all play with to pull that off?

Just casually tacking on another 30-40 assists per year while not allowing anymore GA would be Gretzky shit. +50-70 every year and likely the best player of all-time. Nearly impossible to lose with. He spots you a goal every game basically just at 5 on 5.

I mean yeah I'd like that too. But that's a dumb expectation.
