We essentially took Slafkovsky by default because Wright disqualified himself.

We got lucky that Slafkovsky has seemingly turned into a promising young star.

I think his character sold itself. He's not brooding like Wright.

He definitely has a great personality... I'm sure if it was a close decision for the Habs, that was enough to put it over the edge.

Yeah he looks like a Lehkonen replacement. Very good third liner with spot duty above as needed

No. I have no use for hur dur types. But bottom 6 can’t be like RHP, Pezzetta or Ylonen who are athletically overmatched or afraid of their own shadow. This guy should have crossed the pond to play in Laval instead the Finish league. That raises a flag for me.

But if I’m wrong and he’s and effective 3rd line player on a good Habs roster, I’ll happily eat crow.

The guy from 2022-2023 is someone I can live with on the fourth line. Last year was filled with injuries, so I'm willing to give him a mulligan.

No mulligan next season, though. And if he's not good, cut him loose. Fourth liners aren't hard to find.

Ylonen and Pezzetta can go, though.
