1st Rnd '25 Playoffs: The Battle of Ontario V - More of the Same - LFG!

is it tho?

I can think of a number of cup winners who switched horses during the playoffs - which is even more surprising given that like you said, most coaches have refused to even try it.

How many teams have sunk their playoffs hopes by sticking with one goalie instead of switching it up as needed, I wonder?

Yeah, I definitely can’t come up with a good argument against it.

And there also isn’t a good argument that it’s not even scarier to take a guy with a career high of 34 starts and suddenly expect him to start playing every other day in the most pressure-packed games of his career for upwards of two months.

If we win tonight I would be very tempted to get woll into game 4. He hasn't played since the 17th and if we win the series in 4 or 5 games it will be another week + before we start round 2.

Dont love the backup sitting for 2+ weeks with only practice to keep him sharp.

I would consider have considered playing Woll tonight. I know Stolarz is going good, but he's taken a bunch of bumps already and the playoffs are a long grind. Last thing we want is him out for a few weeks because we overworked him.

You do wonder if having a vet behind the bench like that goes a long way with the officials.

Keefe never got that respect

Berube is calm and the demeanor if this years roster shows that. Seems to be infectious

His style of play may not be for everyone but so far they haven't shown any signs of cracking under pressure

Gonna be interesting to see if Sensfans were able to procure more than their usual 40% of available tickets. Could be close to a fully ‘home’ series

As per usual, the team rolled out a bunch of hairbrained schemes to try and stop Leaf fans from buying seats.

We’ll see if they’re any more successful than last time. Would be hilarious to hear Tkachuk loudly booed in his own building, like Ratface before him.
