I know they had a rather surprising, good year, but Blake has been a brutal GM there.
 
Kings needed to end it early in OT (and had a few chances), Oilers top players had to be gassed.

Definitely seems like the kind of player whoā€™d rather just play out his entire career with the same franchise. Especially since he already has his three Cups.

At least, I hope thatā€™s the case, since if he did decide to move on it seems a decent bet that Montreal would be his choice.

I don't think the Habs are ready. Sure they need another center but the D isn't great. Need 3 more there.

Playing for the Habs is literally the only childhood dream he has yet to achieve. He's won Cups, he's won Olympic gold, he's won the 4 Nations (for whatever that's worth - not much but whatevs) and all the personal hardware one could get.

Donning the Bleu, blanc, rouge would be the cherry on the sundae.

The Habs are still better than the Pens. They made the playoffs and they made them without anyone like Crosby on the roster.

The Habs are as ready as they'll ever be while Crosby is still worth trading for.

Yep.

Who knows? At this point, being able to spend his entire career with the one franchise heā€™s ever played for and has won multiple Cups with could be far more meaningful to him and more of a ā€œcherry on top of the sundaeā€ for his career than playing for the team he used to cheer for as a kid.

Only person who knows is Sid.
 
Although the thought of bringing a cup to Montreal and Canada may have some allure to him I just don't see it.
