Series Totals
Matchups
- Sens rolled a sheltered offensive #1 line, a medium usage #2 line, and a very tough usage 3rd line. 4th line didn't play much.
- Sens rolled two big minute fairly tough usage D pairings, and then a sheltered low usage 3rd pairing.
- Leafs rolled a big minute solid usage #1 line, a sheltered offensive #2 line, and 2 3rd lines - 1 offensive 1 defensive.
- Leafs rolled three D pairings fairly evenly, one with fairly strong defensive usage, one with fairly strong offensive usage, and a 3rd pairing with bigger and tougher usage than most 3rd pairings.
Leafs
- the big guns weren't quite as productive 5v5 as hoped, but they made up for it with a lethal PP. Gonna need that PP to stay good.
- the Laughton line did their job well. It looks like a legit solid checking line. Nothing spectacular but good. I listed them as the "3rd line" here just because their usage matches up best in toughness to the Pinto line, but really coach played the Domi line slightly more - and if that line hadn't been awful they'd have played even more than they did.
- hopefully holmberg at C works next series. He's playing very well and can really help give defensive and puck possession cover on a 3rd line with scoring wingers. Having a playable 3rd scoring line is going to be way more important against Florida.
- McCabe wasn't great this series. We can't really afford that tbh.
- Stoley was fine but far from great. Probably need him (or Woll) to be great against florida.
Sens:
- Stutzle looked very leafy this series. Dynamic and always dangerous but couldn't actually finish anything.
- Tkachuk is just very good.
- I wasn't expecting much from that Cozens line and they didn't dissappoint me - not good offensively or defensively.
- Sens biggest dissappointment tho is probably that Pinto line which was a pretty great 2-way 3rd line for them all year in tough and big usage. They were just ok defensively against some very tough matchups but did nothing offensively at all.
- Sanderson is a beauty
- Ullmark didn't have a great series though most of that was a bad game 1. I expect Bobrovsky to be better tho then again I'd never be surprised if Bob struggled either.
