I already told you that legal technicalities dont matter to people. Jian Gomeshi was acquitted too, but has he worked in TV or radio since then? Nope. Why? Because despite his acquittal everyone knows he did it. OJ was acquitted. Didn't matter there, either. When youre a public figure, the people ultimately decide your fate, not judges and lawyers. These players should never eat lunch on an NHL salary again.

That's what the appeals process is for. Judges, distinguished or otherwise, are not infallible.

Again, you fail to acknowledge reality. If the public sees him as a rapist then he is one. And never mind whether say, the Oilers with Hart win the Cup. This will happen every time he lets in a bad goal. it's a headache that no NHL team wants nor needs. And no legal acquittal is going to change any of it. These guys are finished in the NHL.

We live under a legal system whose premise is allowing 100 guilty to go free so that the one innocent doesn’t get convicted. And still the innocent get convicted.
