OT: Movies/TV Shows

The show was probably better, tbh, as it didn't require an overarching plot.

I was lucky to have seen the movie at its North American Premiere (TIFF) with a fanatic Midnight Madness Crowd.

So much laughter, couldn't really hear every 3rd line of the movie.

Then things got weird -- the projector broke halfway thru. Borat walked on stage and blamed the Jews. He and Micheal Moore tried to entertain the crowd while repairs were attempted (the movie never resumed)

But until the mishap, it was non stop laughter that was contagious in a way that only a packed house can provide. Naked Gun was like that too.
I figured that was an intentional bit, until you said they never got it back up and running! That would've been amazing if it was a plan and it resumed.

I saw it with a big crowd here, and it was madness in there, same thing, couldn't hear a lot of it. But even then, I was like the show is better, the reason being the unscripted aspects are the whole charm of it.

Bring Her Back was reminiscent of 2018's acclaimed Hereditary

No shortage of shitty horror films but I enjoyed this one. Recommended.

after all...what is more horrifying than family? :ROFLMAO:
This is actually a great year for horror. This movie is getting incredible reviews:

Borat, and the Book of Mormon for me...different type of theatre or course, but still.
Ace Ventura by a mile, for me. I was 19 and lived in a small town with one theatre. Me and a buddy were taking a couple girls to the movie. Had no idea what was playing, and when we got there, we saw the poster for "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective." None of us had ever heard of it, and almost left cause we had no interest in a kids movie. We decided to stick it out.

From the opening scene with him destroying the package he was delivering, the entire theatre was roaring. I was in pain from laughing so hard.

#2 theatre laughing experience for me

So, I have been watching Smoke, and I enjoy it; I look forward to watching more. It is better than it should be, not as good as it could be.

I get Homeland vibes from it, but I think they are aiming for Hannibal.

I like Smoke as well, but im caught up and i think it's dragging a bit, not a bad watch though

Untamed is quite good with noted bad ass Eric Bana

Another guy who could easily pivot into a podcast empire though he might be old and cooked. Haven't heard him speak in a decade so no clue if he's any good still.

He's awful now but I'm pretty sure this might be fake news. His contract expires in December. Not a cancellation, just possibly a lack of renewal. Though I'd prefer if anyone but the Sun reported this to truly believe it.

He's still awesome. Preston doesn't listen anymore because he's not as much of a maniac anymore. He doesn't start feuds with celebs anymore.

The show is still very popular and hilarious. He'd definitely have a very popular podcast if he wanted to go that direction. I don't see it happening though. He's been hinting that he might not re-sign in December... to be fair though, he does that with every contract. I think he's actually going to retire this time.
