They should all be Kaepernicked. None of them have played in 2 years and none of them were so good that teams can't live without them. They are a PR headache no team needs. Let them play in the KHL or somewhere else. They are owed nothing.

A team would have to be either completely tone deaf or simply insane to invite that circus into their organization. Every city the team visits during the season there's going to be at least one reporter who's going to bring it up. It will be a distraction. None of these players are that special that a team would bother taking the risk unless their GM is as dumb as Bergevin.

These players are radioactive from a PR standpoint. And that might be set aside if it was an elite talent involved but no team is going to the wall for any of these mediocrities. The league is lousy with guys just as good or better.
