OT: Health and Nutrition

Trump's not likely to do anything to reverse the results of DOGE's destructive actions, FDA and CDC have been seriously damaged by the current "administration," so RFKjr "management" not a surprise.

Opinion - RFK Jr’s deadly COVID coverup

Going to be interesting to see how much in favor of kidney cancer Donald is if this shit goes to court.

Moreover, Chemours has been embroiled in a series of PFAS contamination lawsuits, as Manufacturing Dive notes. In October, if it doesn't reach a settlement, the chemical giant will go to court for "the first bellwether personal injury trial" after the plaintiffs accused Chemours, DuPont, 3M, and Corteva of causing kidney cancer due to their reliance on PFAS.

I know @Montana was talking about his love for balsamic vinegar. Well, I went for a tour of a farm in Modena Italy, this week and I get it now. Like I've always been a fan of balsamic, but not contemplating buying a 50 Euro bottle fan. I declined because I wasn't checking bags and didn't want to take the chance of breakage. But I'm gonna try to source some here. Definitely worth the investment.

Also, seeing the care and insane standards that Parm cheese and ham have to pass to be certified gave me a whole new appreciation for the craft and Italians generally insanity with their food.

Here’s a great one you can find in TO without breaking the bank.

If you’re close to midtown La salumeria at yonge and davisville has a really good selection of imported balsamics, including the maletti at $20.

Got any Sherry vinegars you recommend? I’m always on the hunt for a new one to try.

It's so very cool, to me, that the presenters in this vid are so young. Indicates, to me, that the research continues, and that maybe, just maybe, ancestors and elders have been paid attention and their knowledge and experiences researched, tested, and applied. My mom introduced about 90% of this content to me when I was a kid. :)

I'll add mention of a couple of "remedies" Mom used on us when she wanted to be sure to "cut" phlegm in our throats when we caught colds:
▪︎ teaspoon of honey with a "pinch" 🙄 of alum stirred in. Lightweight remedy.
▪︎ teaspoon of white sugar + 3 drops of kerosene or white gas on it. (!) Heavyweight.

The shit worked every time, though I believe our recoveries were primarily in self defense. 😉

My mom swore by a mixture of goose grease, coal oil and turpentine rubbed on your chest for congestion. That concoction made the smell of Vicks Vaporub seem like a French perfume.

WTF was the doc hawking his pricey Plasma Replacement Therapy doing in that vid?
