OT: World Politics

LOL. "Trump's Russia "envoy" (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) Steve Witkoff partipated in the session"

yessss ... I'm sure he did. Probably with an electronic device on his person transmitting the audio directly to Moscow

8 months ago I'd bet that there were still some naive Euro politicians who didn't believe the depths of the relationship between Trump and Russia. I don't think you'd find any who still feel the same way. They all know that if an American is in the room right now, assume Putin is sitting there himself.

Head of parliament is next to him
I don’t think much will change

Agree. In fact, I think this fixation on Zelenskyy illustrates a fundamental political divide between UKR and RUS. It’s Russian projection, as if everything is riding a on a strong man like in Russia. But that isn’t the case with the political culture in UKR, that was the whole point of Maidan to begin with.

It think, though I might be wrong, it was Tim Snyder who relayed a maxim about politics on Ukraine: if you lock two Ukes in a room, they’ll start three political parties.

"They" is the voting public of the UK, no?
