It's funny to hear Flyers fans complaining about the officiating today. I guess what, a dozen or more power plays wasn't enough?
The refs' inconsistency allowed the Flyers to get away with constant hooking and grabbing, but complainers are gonna complain, regardless of the situation. It's funny to hear Flyers fans complaining about the officiating today. I guess what, a dozen or more power plays wasn't enough?
After the first game's self-inflicted high stick, you'd think the refs would be all over these shenanigans, but the wild flopping was allowed to continue.Although, Dvorak can take that little head snap of his and stick it up his backside. I can't believe he got away with that crap twice in one game.
Nice. Hall’s light Sabre stick should be blue or green or white (just not red) against Darth Vladar [\SW nerd]
Hey. We agreed again :0)Nice. Hall’s light Sabre stick should be blue or green or white (just not red) against Darth Vladar [\SW nerd]
It still boggles my mind nightly that some of these "officials"...which I will use that term lightly...are allowed to work second round playoffs and the league finds that perfectly ok. These guys are unfit to have any feel or control of a game...even the linesmen yet again spent far too much time last night doing nothing but throwing guys out of the dot, missing calls or just thinking they are the main part of the show...enough of this garbage, the bar gets lowered nightly with no end in sight. With only 8 teams left you would hope that the league has enough credible officials left to work two games a night but apparently even that is too much to ask for finding veteran guys capable enough to do a decent job. It's funny to hear Flyers fans complaining about the officiating today. Freddie also had to fend off a charge into his crease from Sanheim by protecting himself with his blocker. I think that Sanheim thought Walker (or whoever the D was) would nudge him in so he could get a free shot, but the nudge never came. He got a face full of blocker for his trouble. How that isn’t called some freaking thing, I have no idea. Charron was right there at the goal line, FWIW. That’s just an official being scared to make a call, honestly.Martone last night goes into the crease on his own hard, makes head contact with Freddy...no call, no goalie interference...Blake gets shoved into Vladar late third...goalie interference. You can argue one guy goes straight in with contact, one guy gets shoved in hard, how is that a way to call a game?
Dwyer isn’t nearly as big a clown as Charron but they both suck … and the fact that they’ve survived to the Finals is 100% an indictment on the state of NHL officiating.Gord Dwyer, #19 on your scoresheet, has worked 3 finals (none since 2022) and the Olympic Gold Medal Game.
Francis Charron, #6 on your scoresheet, has also worked 3 finals, most recently the 2025 Final. He and Dwyer both worked the 2021 Final, teaming up in game 3.
Freddie should have been credited with a hit. Sanheim got the worst of that deal, but you're right - it shouldn't have happened and should have been called.Freddie also had to fend off a charge into his crease from Sanheim by protecting himself with his blocker.
