Chakya would be guilty of some almost unforgivable chicken shit stuff if he doesn't fire him now. The notion of keeping him is insane.

Even paying lip service and going through the motions look bad. It should have been a swift firing.

I checked and one time we tried this it was November and one time it was January so yeah, somewhere in that neighborhood bc we keep doing this apparently.

If berube stays there's probably good reason to believe he won't be fired for a long while. Just because there's a bunch of easy low hanging fruit to improve the team. And they'll keep him all in the name of progress and improvement over last year.

But he won't stay.
 
Like if Berube is kept, clearly MLSE/Pelley still have a say ( which is fucking brutal) or Chayka is a fake nerd.

I think most people would agree that Chayka is probably a guy who couldnt say no to just about any GM job gig, so he would be someone who would probably reluctantly be okay answering to a dumbass owner ( whereas i think Mike Gillis would tell them to fuck off)

That said, surely he's going to be fired.

So now he's just admitting it.

It's crazy. How could Matty and Marner have been good with each other when Paul is trashing Matty all day long? Unreal that out of the American, the Swede, and the Toronto kid, the Toronto kid was the toxic one who burned his bridges and left the team.
