Around the League 2019-2026 Edition

Fair, I don’t think he gets the 2 pick + tho
33 years old alone makes it unlikely he's as valuable as a 27 year old Schneider was 13 years ago, yeah.

I expect he'll get something similar to whatever the equivalent return of a mid 1st round pick is. I get how it could be tempting for Florida if they're not giving up a valuable roster player.

Something like 9 and E Rodrigues for salary purposes

Ive been thinking for a while that the noise of him to VAN is just nonsense and no reasonable franchise would put that kind of pressure on father and son.

Caleb could be a Hawk/Ranger

You have to look at the two things separately though. If Malhotra is your bpa, you take him.

Probably not a bad idea for Ottawa to move on. Their “rebuild” is a failure, and it was feeling more and more untenable for one of the most blatantly pro-MAGA players in the league to continue serving as the captain of a Canadian team.

And if they’d kept him, he almost certainly would’ve played out the final two years of his contract and just left to join in Florida anyway.

Shame they didn’t trade him to another team on his list though.

This is why anything but a massive haul for Knies isn't happening. Knies is basically the equivalent of a younger Brady, and the 9 + 25 alone works out to be worth almost as much as the 3rd overall is on the pick value charts.

I'd also bet money on Ottawa trying to move up into the top 5 now to get Stenberg or Malhotra. The 9 + 32 gets you the 5th, the 9 + 25 gets you the 4th overall.

I think Chicago only moves off 4 for an established talent like Robertson, otherwise they stay at 4 and take Stenberg/Malholtra/Reid/Carels

I don’t think they care about 25 and 9

So filling out the rest of the panthers' roster with near league min guys leaves them around $4-5m in cap for a starting goalie.
