It's status quo on Rielly because nothing was ever happening there.

There's noise about Carlo because they've been trying to trade him this whole time and just now some word of it is leaking out.

A couple of later picks would be terrible considering what we paid, but the cat may be out of the bag on him in terms of how bad he is, so I wouldn't be shocked by a shit return. That's why I expect they're trying to trade him in a package for players instead. It would suck if all he can bring back is a 2nd and 4th or some shit like that, but honestly, if that's the best out there, just take it and be done.

One thing that I've been noticing in all of these trades, there's a common theme of teams trading away their unsigned RFAs.

Seems like no one has the appetite to negotiate with mid RFAs and wants to just make them someone else's headache. Target the best of the mid RFAs.

There's no doubt in my mind that Carlo and Maccelli and fluff to the right team will get something decent back.

Ottawa seems perfect for it. SJ is another. Pitts, Seattle, STL, Utah. Just have to find the right combo and someone with a flicker of interest in one of them.

The other thing is, the Carlos and Maccellis of the world are the guys that teams circle back to if they strike out on better players elsewhere.

It's probably been too early for them to move, but that secondary market will be in full swing soon.
