Around the League 2019-2026 Edition

Used to know someone that grew up with him in Ottawa (I think he moved there in his early teens), and he always said that he never wanted to play in Toronto even before he made the NHL. Thought he may have had a change of heart in his old age but nah guess not.
 
Some guys aren't built for the spotlight. It's cool. Id rather this than him take the money because mercenary and then be shitty about the spotlight while he's here.

And yes, a lot of hockey players are small town weirdos who wish they could play completely anonymously.

If you’re the team that’s been offer-sheeted, you may as well wait the maximum allowable time even if you intend to match, because it screws over the team who extended the offer sheet a bit.

Leaves them and the cap space stuck in limbo and possibly missing out on other moves until the decision is made.
