OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Wouldn't the only reason to have a "raffle" be to allow folks access other than those willing to line-up early (local to the arena)?

Also to force fans to download an app, for which I'm sure the permissions it requires will allow them to find ways to monetize the fan base in new and exciting ways.

Most fans have the apps for contests already anyway - I don't see the big deal.

Choice. Another corporation has decided that for you to experience your team the way that you want to, you need to download their app, give you their data for them to optimize and monetize, etc. All to stand outside of the arena.

Modern douche corporate behaviour.

don't understand Steve Kerr.

The Suns don't have a single big on the floor right now, and two nights ago against the clippers, you made your comeback and won by playing a lot a three big lineup with Porzingis, Horford, and Green.

The Warriors smaller guards and wings are not good. It's Steph and a bunch of trash, yet you're playing right into the Suns' hands by trying to play them small with Green at the 5?

Why the f*** don't you have both Porzingis and Horford in the game, post them up and dare the Suns to play you small OR force them to sub out a couple of their smaller players for some bigs who they clearly don't want to play?

Orlando is laying the dad dick to Charlotte, which is unexpected.
Hornets arent built for the playoffs-they are still 2 years away from being ready for it. It Will take Time for them to reach that level

They lack physicality , Experience, defensive structure and maturity.

Hornets got getting exposed on the road by a more desperate, aggressive and experienced magic team who outplayed them defensively and bullied them physically . They just couldnt handle the pressure tonight. Charlotte is still a flawed, fancy, unidimensional and immature team. They werent supposed to be here this season anyway.

For next year, They need a crash and bang winger who can draw fouls, take the Ball to the Rim with physicality/grit, Power and speed and a guard player with a strong post game who can regularly shoot mid range jumpers and long 2

Thry rely too much on fancy, Harlem globe-trotters dipsy doodle type of basketball / fastbreak offense/three point shooting/perimeter offense. Magic kept the turnovers at a minimum and physically/defensively guarded the paint and protected the Rim very well. Hornets shooters were cold all game and struggled to keep up with the defensive/aggression and physicality of the magic right now, and they couldnt even draw fouls because it was hard for them to get inside the paint and drive to the Rim.

Yeah, but Orlando is shit.
Ways to turn orlando into a better team :

#1 - Get a floor general point guard. A Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups type. Their offense is erractic and lacks structure, chemistry, purpose and cohesion.

#2 - Design an offense around Paolo dominating in the paint. Tell Paolo to NEVER bring the ball up and never try to go 1 on 5 from the top of the key. Play him like a true Power Forward. 1 or 2 dribbles, post up, rebounds, jump hooks, short 12 footer jump shots, etc. Tell him to keep it short and simple on the court.
Nothing will change with Paolo. Thats why they need to add a true PG.

Paolo lacks vision and patience, he doesn't rebound, defend, pass, pick/roll, set screens. All he does is play inefficient 1 on 1 basketball. He is not Jokic and Will never be, he cant be the one running and directing offense. Paulo is a perfect example of someone who is relying on their physical gifts and not perfecting his craft or skillset. There is no way in hell this dude should be this ass around the rim. No way in hell he can’t post up a rookie. It’s a failure on him, Mosley, and the entire magic organization. Dude should be locked in for this summer. Unfortunately, Magic is stuck with this core

#3 - Don't fall for Suggs being your point guard cornerstone like the Celtics did with Marcus Smart a few years ago . Those types of players do not work, and I would just trade him
#4 - More emphasis on being a better offensive rebounding team. As a team, They have too much size on the roster to not be a great rebounding team

Defense/physicality They are fine. At least they are not soft . Mosley is one of the Best defensive ni des coaches in the league.

Pistons/ Magic first round matchup Will be a throwback to late 90s/early 2000s Ball. Defense, physical play, grit and low dcorkng. Pistons and magic are on par defensively but Detroit has a better offense
