OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

So Pinango is something maybe? Definitely has shown the ability to hit in the minors over the past few years. Slowly grinding his way up through the Jays and Cubs systems with moderate power and good patience.

If only he could field a position. Yeah.

Don't look now, but Bo has the most hard hit balls in baseball in the past couple of weeks. Mets still suck though.

Bo will be fine, eventually. Dude can hit. He's even taken defensively to 3rd way better than anyone was expecting and has been average over there.

Still have nothing but love for him. I am however entirely pleased with having Okamoto over there for 15 million instead of Bo for 42. That's a full ass Dylan Cease difference and I'd bet that they're similar calibre players when all is said and done.

I like Okomoto’s ability to clear the bases as well with how our lineup is constructed

Yeah, even starting the season slow he looks like he has 30-40 HR power. All of his underlying metrics have been correcting in a hurry. BB rates are a positive now and back to his NPB levels, K rate is plummeting in a hurry...still high, but it was around 40% for a bit there which is pretty fatal to a MLB career. Hard hit rate is crazy, barrel rate is strong, EV is excellent. His bat to ball stuff is still questionable, but to my eye lately he sure doesn't look like he's missing a lot that he's taking a hack at where he was getting beat up in the zone at will over the first few weeks.

Not sure how good he is yet, but I'm pretty sure that he's good.

Man. George is having some kind of bad luck. Fouling a pitch off is one thing, a pitcher hitting the exact same spot like a heat seeking missile is something else

I cant imagine Cohen gives up to that degree.

Lindor then. It's one thing to have a bit of a tear down and build around a 27 yr old Soto. Another thing entirely to keep a 32 yr old all star SS who is also making a big bag. By the time you're competing again, even with a successful retool, he's 34.
