The recent extended Olympic break turned out to be a great experience to learn how to deal with this insane downtime. The Canes regular season ended in April 14. They played the last 8 games over 13 days. When they return on Thursday, they will have played 8 games in the previous 36 days.
And it gave the Olympians the break they didn’t get in February. The recent extended Olympic break turned out to be a great experience to learn how to deal with this insane downtime.
Honestly, look at an expected goal chart. They didn’t bother to show up at all. Lyons barfed up 3 beach balls and it took Buffalo a while to recover but after they did, they were gone (with the wind … nodding to the rest of this thread)Holy mother of pearl... that looked like the Habs decided about halfway through "(polar's word) this, we'll take Game 7." and that was the rest of the game.
Yup. Not all the time in every game, but once you see it you can’t unsee it. Buffalo is looser with the puck, but mostly because they don’t have a heck of a lot of structure to anything they do. But when Montreal starts to press on offense, they turn it over in a lot of bad areas and with guys all kinds of out of position to recover. Both teams are so loose with the puck. I can see how we’re going to focus on pressure pressure pressure.
