it will be the test to see if holland is actually running things or howson, lowe, etc are in the ear of Katz
 
i'm still pissed that we have 3 more years of paying Kessel $1.2m and he's still actually a very good player.
 
Yup, beyond stupid to have retained any salary in that deal.

That, plus the cap not going up as much as anticipated, could **** us this year.
 
It sucks because Kessel might be aging better than any other players. PPG this year and over 90 points last as he entered his 30's.
 
According to Edmonton Oilers' forward Jesse Puljujarvi's agent Markus Lehto, it's time for the 21-year-old to have a fresh start elsewhere.

"It doesn't make sense to go back where we were last season, it's not good for either side," Lehto said. "Discussions about parting ways have been going on for weeks already. Jesse needs a fresh start and it's nothing against the Oilers."
