2019-Whenever Misc. Grab Bag Thread

A friendly public service announcement this week and next...stay the hell away from the Lenovo Center and the Edwards Mill corridor for the next two weeks! ;) Whoever thought many years ago that Canes and State football games during the fair were not a good idea were smart...then along came someone else to try and pack the biggest and busiest concerts at Carter Finley and Lenovo during the fair. So tonight apparently is 50-60K at Carter Finley for a Chris Brown show, followed by the fair kickoff Thursday, followed by two nights of Billie Ellish concerts at Lenovo during the fair kickoff weekend and then the following weekend two more big Lenovo shows on the fair's last weekend.

I envision some random, new to the Triangle folks just passing through that area for a leisurely drive without any knowledge of what goes on this time of year and getting caught up in that mess for three or four hours...

Thanks for the reminder. I’ll be avoiding west Raleigh for the next 2 weeks. I have a concert at Red Hat on Friday and Steve Martin and Martin Short at DPAC on Saturday. So I’ll be heading away from that nightmare,

I’ve been avoiding west Raleigh for 22 years. It’s been wonderful.

I'll look for you at Red Hat on Friday. My younger brother is coming up from ATL and the two of us are going. He's tight with Derek & Susan and gets me backstage every show. We're going to grab a bite and beverage at the Player's Retreat before.
