This has been the case for a while now. Dom decided to quit being polite to bad teams a couple of years ago and he's a much better writer because of it.Dom’s reviews of the bottom teams are pretty savage.

Two Cup rings to close out a career...I'll take that all day long and twice on Sundays! Our old friend Curtis McElhinney retired. He had a nice 3 year run to close out his career with a conference final and 2 Cups.

I mean, he's not telling them anything they don't already know.If I'm a Buffalo fan reading that review, it's like I'm standing on the ledge of a tall building, and Dom's in the crowd below shouting "Jump! Jump!"
Here's hoping he doesn't suckFormer Plymouth Whaler/Checker/Everblade Carter Sandlak was a referee in last night‘s Leafs/Habs game. He retired in 2018 and went straight into officiating, working primarily in the ECHL but also worked the final of the IIHF U-18 Tournament. He’s working a split AHL/NHL contract this year.
Heck, freaking Seattle might have a cakewalk to a playoff spot they might not really deserve ... just because they're set up to be vaguely competent. That division is a tire fire.In the bottom 12 of Dom's preaseason evaluation, he's got half the Pacific division, and he hasn't even done Seattle yet, and the Flames are lurking. Vegas is going to have a freaking cakewalk out there.
Are we allowed to say fire?Thats an insult to tire fires!
It’s not a crowded theater, so I’ll allow it.Are we allowed to say fire?![]()
I can probably survive that. (Melrose) but JIC I leave everything but my house to my sister and the house to DadNow that ESPN has hockey again, they’re beefing up their ancillary programming.
John Buccigross will host a weekly show on Thursdays at 3pm in ESPN2 and ESPN+ called The Point. It debuts next Thursday at 5pm. It will also air daily on October 12-15 as part of opening week coverage. The downside? Expect a heavy dose of Melrose.
Given their games are early to late morning here, it doesn’t compete with any current offerings. Pretty cheap experiment for them.Sean Shapiro from The Athletic says that ESPN+ has added the KHL to its offerings. Starting today, they’ll have more than 130 games and all of the playoffs.
