its like our golf rules. For example, your ball lands within 50 yards of a leave you’re entitled to a free drop. If a leaf moves during your swing and you hit a bad shot, you can have a do-over.

Unless we hear otherwise, I'm going to assume that Mike Sullivan wasn't fighting to stay. Things are not going to be great in Pittsburgh in the near future and I suspect Sullivan sees that clearly.

Mike Sullivan is going to be able to find a much better head coaching opportunity elsewhere. This timing seems right for both sides.
