O'Neil had some local friends in Raleigh but it was pretty much just his golfing buddies. Otherwise when he was out and about (I think enough time has passed to say this out loud) he was oftentimes sloppy drunk and thus not exactly easy to approach. My brother in law was one of his golf cronies, FWIW. He's also got pretty much nothing good to say about the guy. I'm pretty sure O still owes him money ... lol
Jarvis, best as I can tell, is pretty much the polar opposite of O'Neil. The city has embraced him because he's amiable, accessible and embraceable.

I got stories. Not sure the statute of limitations has expired. Back when him and Bates were ravaging downtown bars the night before games made for an interesting locker room. I usually give guys the benefit of the doubt as they get older and mature, but after seeing him on his podcast and his behavior on X, he hasn’t matured one bit.

I would see O'Neil in downtown from time to time. Saw him at Kings hanging out with some girl and he looked downright freakin miserable there. LOL. Kings was definitely not his type of scene. I tried to approach him then, but he gave me a scowl that said to stay the hell away from him so I did. I would see him quite a bit at the now-named Slim's, back when it was Lakeside Lounge or something like and it was a well-known coke bar. One of the bartenders jokingly said that their bar t-shirt should be a snowmobile on a large pile of white stuff.

Yeah, sadly Jeff doesn't seem to have matured at all. Which is fine, I guess. Like a lot of former players he's managed to turn his natural crabbiness into a TV/radio gig. I don't pay a lot of attention to those guys
There's especially two sides to every story that particular guy is involved in. He spouted some utter BS during that process, at some points seeming like he was actively trying to scuttle the whole thing, and I don't believe a word that comes from his mouth.
The whole situation seemed odd. SKA was going to release him, then they weren’t, then they did. Getting the visa took forever, espeically compared to how quickly the Habs were able to get a visa for Demidov.
Personally, I think it was the agent who made it "odd" and then tried (and it still trying) to blame his mess on the Canes and/or his player.
Fair, considering they managed to get Kochetkov out of Russia under much more trying circumstances, at the beginning of sanctions and flight restrictions.
Yeah, there have just been too many fairly seamless transitions for Nikishin's ordeal not to stick out. The Canes managed it without drama FAR too many times for anybody to actually believe they were the weak link in the chain. And it wasn't in Nikishin's interests for the thing to drag on. Clearly there was another factor, so the last man standing is you, comrade Chernych

OK...I'm embarrassed I don't know this, but I'm sure one of you can help.
I just bought two tickets for Saturday night's game, but I can't find where on the Ticketmaster site I can buy anyone's premium parking pass for resale. (The ParkWhiz site shows all the premium parking passes as sold out already.)
Suggestions?
EDIT: I did find a few parking passes for reseale on SeatGeek, but not for premium parking.

I was looking at it from the reverse perspective sometime last season and needed to re-sell one of mine but then wanted to find it from a buyer perspective to prove to myself it showed up somewhere, and I couldn't, so asked my ticket rep - he replied (and yes, I am an email packrat
) "For someone purchasing a parking pass through Ticketmaster usually is offered the option at checkout when purchasing tickets. I know with there being a lot of ways to purchase parking sometimes it is more difficult for those passes to sell.", so you may have had to do it when buying the tickets themselves? Not sure how to find just parking on TM... I can find a button on TM that says "Lenovo Center Parking" but it just links to event tickets.

Yeah, I saw the option to buy parking passes when I bought the tickets, but couldn't pull the trigger at that point becuase we were still working out logistics of how many of us were driving on uor own to the game versus carpooling. I figured there would be a way to go back in and buy passes after the ticket purchase, but I have not been able to find one. UPDATE: I just found some premier parking passes on StubHub. (Unfortunately, they add a $15 fee, which makes the prices a little ridiculous. I'll wait this out and see if prices come down.)

To go along with last nights hockey fights cancer. Last night in Chapel Hill I got to meet an amazing young man. Onyx Williams is a4 year old kid with an aggressive form of brain cancer. His dad reached out to NCCU Head Coach LeVelle Moton and he gave Onyx a night to remember. He was his assistant coach tonight and Carolina rolled out the red carpet. They recognized him on the court to a standing ovation during player introductions and they gave him an autographed ball and jersey. He was then at the table after the game to answer questions from the media 
. A lot of us on this board are intimately familiar with this terrible disease and what this young man and his family are going through. He is such an amazing kid. If you pray, please throw one up for Onyx
