2026 Draft

if true, and he was in fact defending his mom, charges should be dropped

last fight I had was because a goof pushed my mom (about 30 years ago). Totally understandable. Must always defend mom

yeah because basketball, football and baseball or rugby guys would NEVER do such a thing,,,

one rumour is the guy he pounded was harassing his mom, so maybe the guy had it coming to him
If youre a soon to be millionaire hockey player, you get a lawyer, you dont make a fist. That shit is for beer leaguers. You dont fight unless youre being paid.

broke a guy's jaw in a bar fight, doubt he gets the full 20 even if convicted but he needs a good lawyer like Krust to defend him,

Krust do it for a low rate on his word of honour he will hold out until traded to us...

all kidding aside, he might already have fucked up his entire career,
Na, in the pugilistic world of hockey, his stock will only rise.

Huge shock there, huh? It sounded ridiculous from the get-go. Somebody in the Center County, PA DA's office probably wanted some publicity. They got it.
Don't they always do that?

Seems common that they start big and then just end up with the lesser charges

can't speak for american prosecutors but up here, the police actually lay the charge and the Crown approves or disapproves. There are often pleas (I did some criminal law in the past) and as you get closer to trial and the Crown has to juggle a few trials, you can get them to stay higher charges. I had a guy once who got in a bar fight and cut a guy with a beer bottle. They wanted aggravated, he pled to simple assault and a conditional sentence
