Nikishins dipshit of an agent is going to run this kid straight back to the KHL. And I'm not sure Nikishin has enough common sense to see what's happening. I've yet to hear this interview he did yesterday, but it doesn't sound promising.
But at the same time, let's stop pretending that Slavin sets the bar in max defense salary. Top d-men are going to be getting $9-12m a year now. Slavin taking half that is on him, not every other player looking for a contract. Let's not pretend that Miller is really $1.2 million a season, better than Slavin.
