I’m not saying the Habs were in on Mantha, but I hope HuGo aren’t undermining themselves by being too difficult.

Looks to me as if HuGo either find a Dobson type deal (25-27 yr old top-6) or they go with what they have - no stop gaps.

I’m expecting the next wave of trades to happen as arbitration date for Robertson approaches

No plan B's, they get who they want (and sometimes overpay by a bit) and if not, they trust the youths (until the playoffs that is).

I believe HuGo when they say they are willing to spend for quality. Mantha isn’t that.

Leo would have taken 8 x 11 as per reports last year but the fucken team didnt realize the landscape changing

Most teams are now flush with cap cash with the future increases and an offer sheet was in the works

I have said it many times lock up your young core in advance as long as you can

Carlsson’s agent stated a couple of days ago Verbeek offered 8 x $10.5M but Carlsson’s side decided to wait to see how this summer plays out w expected cap rise before starting any negotiations …
